- Much like the Sabbath in the past, money has been sacralized by modern culture. Instead of gathering in the church, we meet in the town market or mega-mall to express our inflated sense of self-righteousness. Instead of praying underneath depictions of the crucifixion, we worship the displays at Armani Exchange. Rather than searching for the Kingdom of Heaven, we hunt for bargains at the Banana Republic. We sell our souls to the highest bidder and consume the creations of men while neglecting the fruit of our Creator.
- As we spend small fortunes on clothes, cars, DVDs and shoes, it’s easy to lose sight of the force that adds value to the products we crave. Whether it is the designer fashions of Versace, Giorgio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Huesen, the automobiles of Henry Ford, the laptop sold by Michael Dell or the shoes of Vera Wang or Michael Jordan, each of these lines of product are branded by a sense of service.
- Prosperity sits atop a mountain named supply and demand. Every successful business enterprise/person adequately meets the needs or desires of the public they serve. As the impoverished masses slave through menial labor restlessly spending what little they have to attend to their own impulses and purchase material distractions, the great contributors offer their life’s work and rest on piles of wealth.
- Your success will correlate with your contribution. Follow your divine nature and create. Express your creations through service. Otherwise you’re nothing but a fool waving pieces of paper at anything with a price tag.
